Michelle P. Waiver (MPW)
Michelle P Waiver (MPW) services allow eligible individuals to receive support from for an array of community-based supports and services. Individuals eligible for MPW have a documented intellectual and developmental disability and meet state-established criteria for participating in MPW.
RESPITE
A service designed to relieve care givers/guardians (paid/non-paid support that the participant does not live with) for a specific time period.
COMMUNITY LIVING SUPPORT
Enable a person to accomplish tasks that the person normally would do for himself or herself. If he or she did not have a disability. These include hands-on assistance, reminding, observing, guiding or training during an activity; assistance in managing medical care and transportation to access community service, activities to appointments. If these are not available under the Medicaid Program, Personal assistance services are available only to those who live in their own residence or in their family’s residence.
PERSONAL CARE
Enable participants to stay in their own homes and communities, such as bathing and showering, dressing and getting ready for bed, support with shaving, oral hygiene.
Eligibility

Have an intellectual or developmental disability.
Would be admitted to an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability (ICF-IID) or a nursing facility if you did not have waiver services.
Require a protected environment while learning living skills, gaining educational experiences, and developing an awareness of your environment.
